SNC-CH240

Box-type 1080p/30 fps Camera - V Series

Better pictures mean more incident detection and better evidence, and with Sony's ExmorTM Full-HD (1920x1080) image sensor the SNC-CH240 captures more detail than ever.

This feature-rich Full HD fixed network security camera comes with Sony's image enhancement expertise. It includes View-DR for a very wide dynamic range in difficult lighting conditions, and XDNR for incredibly powerful noise reduction.

The SNC-CH240 supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for easy installation with only one cable, and it conforms to the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) for compatibility with other network video devices – even from other manufacturers

  • Full HD (1920x1080) resolution

Detailed Full HD progressive images. Progressive acquisition (as opposed to interlace) means that images are more stable to view, contain more information and compress more efficiently - without "interlace artefacts".

  • Exmor CMOS Sensor

High resolution CMOS sensor with low noise characteristics for improved image acquisition. Derived from Sony's broadcast product range, Exmor is one of the highest quality image sensors available

  • Stream Squared function

An incredibly useful function that allows simultaneous streaming of two 4:3 aspect ratio videos in user-selectable SD resolutions. You can select the entire image or a portion of the image from the original view and resize to SD resolution. With this feature theh SNC-CH210 can replace two SD cameras installed in the same line of view.

  • Triple Codec Network Operation

Three industry-standard codecs for compatibility with the widest possible range of players. The SNC-CH240 can stream in two different formats simultaneously. For example: one codec at a low bit rate for internet use and another at a higher rate for analysis and archiving.

  • Enhanced Dynamic Range with Sony's View-DR

With Sony's View-DR (Visibility Enhanced Wide Dynamic Range) innovation, you can achieve a high contrast ratio of 125dB. This ensures realistic tonal detail, and state-of-the-art image enhancement with a wide, dynamic range capability.

  • Powerful noise reduction with Sony's XDNR

XDNR (Excellent Dynamic Noise Reduction) technology virtually eliminates image blur in low-light conditions, enabling users to clearly capture images that have not been easy to portray in the past. It also overcomes the problems associated with many competitor camera models. What's more, when both XDNR and Visibility Enhancer are turned on, the cameras can achieve four times the sensitivity compared to when they are off. This technology is ideal for any outdoor surveillance monitoring, such as in a car park at night.

  • DEPA Advanced video analytics

DEPA Advanced Intelligent Video and Audio Analytics can analyse images to detect whether pre-selected objects have moved, raising an alarm if an event is detected. Users create a set of rules that determine exactly how and when this happens

  • Power Over Ethernet (PoE) capability

Supporting Power over Ethernet (PoE), the SNC-CH240 can be powered using the same Ethernet cable it uses for data transfer. This feature greatly reduces the physical infrastructure costs and speed of deployment

  • CF card slot

Compact Flash card slot for onboard recording or wireless networking (with optional SNCA-CFW5 card)

  • ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) compliance

The ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) defines a common protocol for the exchange of information between network video devices including automatic device discovery and video streaming. Allows interoperability between network video devices.
